The orthostatic checkup allows inCORPUS® to identify eight distinct energy profiles that correspond to the state of your Autonomic Nervous System at the time of the test. The nervous system works automatically and controls many of the bodily functions, including the heart, and is one of the most important contributors to athletic performance. A number of factors can influence the result of the orthostatic test, among which we have physical and psychological stress, sleep deprivation, dehydration, underlying pathologies, environmental changes and many more. This is the main reason behind the importance of taking the checkup in standardised conditions : in the morning, as soon as you wake up, with an empty bladder, with an empty stomach and in a calm environment without external stimuli (music, conversation, etc.).

inCORPUS can then detect 8 distinct energy profiles, among which 5 represent fatigued states and 3 represent non-fatigued states. These profiles are detected using the variation in heart rate and then categorised into the designated color codes.

You can find more information on our blog on why we decided to create these energy profiles.
